The headquarters of Buddhism in Korea is Jogyesa Temple

There are many shops selling Buddhist props on the main street in front of the temple.

The temple, renovated in 1938, impressed with its height and its colorful paintings. It maintains a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha and a Medicine Buddha. In front of the main hall there is a seven-story stone pagoda and a memorial stele with 8529 characters.
